18th & 21st Party Planning Ideas
We love a good party at whatruwearing, and the team here have planned a few! Here a few tips for a successful 18th or 21st.
Music is vital. If the budget allows we would always recommend booking a live band, Jazz, soul and Disco bands always work well, appealling to all. Music is the most important part of any party an essential part of making an event successful. If the budget doesn’t allow, make sure the DJ has a wide range of music to suit all, don’t just pick the first guy out of the phone book, recommendations are the key to success here. Theme. A theme always helps a party. Most in the office agree that some of the best parties they have been to, have been fancy dress as your guests are already having fun and getting in the party spirit while they are getting ready. Mobs & Molls are particularly popular at the moment and strangely so are ‘Strictly Parties’! Fancy a bit of Pink lycra lads? The best fancy dress Paul in the office has been to was a ‘Fame party’. Hillarious.
An entertainer can make a party, and I don’t mean for kids! Although that’s a good idea too. Magicians for grown ups are great, my friends told a great story at our last meal out about a magician at a wedding that performed card tricks they still can’t suss out! We love this famous UK caricaturist, George, who has drawn caricatures of many a celebrity and covered many special events.
If you have little ones coming to the party don’t forget about them, the happier the little kids are, the happier everyone is! There are is an increasing choice of companies offering Party Entertainment Bags, table games, balloons and keep sakes.
Happy Partying. x
